Mi sono formata per insegnare corsi preparatori al parto secondo la tecnica HypnoBirthing®. Sono anche consulente per la fertilità, docente di corsi post-parto secondo il metodo HypnoMothering®, ipnoterapeuta clinica, SBD® doula e Birth Trauma Resolution® Practitioner. Mi sono formata negli Stati Uniti, presso la NATH (Associazione nazionale di ipnoterapeuti transpersonali) e sono affiliata all'HypnoBirthing® Institute.
Ho assistito famiglie che hanno partorito in ospedale, cliniche private, case nascita e a domicilio, e collaboro attivamente con levatrici, ginecologi/ghe, doule e con varie associazioni attive nel Canton Ticino, ad Aarau (Svizzera) e a Washington DC (USA).
Sono co-presidente dell'Associazione Nascere Bene Ticino (ANBT).
I miei interessi accademici e di ricerca sono ugualmente legati al tema della maternità. Ho ottenuto un dottorato e al momento svolgo ricerca post-dottorato nell'ambito dei Motherhood Studies e delle Medical Humanities in collaborazione con la Fondazione Sasso Corbaro per le Medical Humanities (istituto affiliato all'Università della Svizzera italiana e all'Ente ospedaliero cantonale) e con la Georgetown University.
Insegno e collaboro con varie università in Svizzera, Inghilterra e Stati Uniti, e partecipo a progetti di ricerca internazionali e interdisciplinari sul tema della maternità e delle Medical Humanities.
Ma soprattutto ho seguito il metodo HypnoBirthing® e HypnoMothering® per prepararmi alla nascita di mia figlia e ne abbiamo tratto numerosi benefici!
Emily Sofia è nata a Washington DC nel mese di agosto del 2017. Grazie alle tecniche di rilassamento, visualizzazione e respirazione imparate, il nostro parto è stato calmo e mia figlia è venuta al mondo in maniera naturale e serena. Sono fermamente convinta del potere rivoluzionario di HypnoBirthing® e HypnoMothering® nella preparazione al parto e al periodo post-parto, e mi appassiona l'opportunità di poter insegnare questa tecnica e filosofia ad altre coppie.

I am a HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator and Fertility Consultant affiliated with the HypnoBirthing® Institute.
In addition to this I am a HypnoMothering® Postpartum Practitioner, a Certified Hypnotherapist, an SBD® doula, and a Birth Trauma Resolution® Practitioner.
I received my training in the United States, at the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists (NATH).
I collaborate with midwives, OB-GYNs, doulas and associations based in Switzerland (Canton of Ticino and Aarau) and in Washington DC (USA), and have assisted families who gave birth in hospitals, private clinics, birth centers and at home.
I am co-president of the Associazione Nascere Bene Ticino (ANBT).
I earned a PhD and I am a scholar and researcher in the fields of Motherhood Studies and the Medical Humanities at the Sasso Corbaro Foundation for the Medical Humanities (an institute affiliated with USI (Università della Svizzera italiana) and the Hospital consortium of Italian-speaking Switzerland (EOC). I was on the faculty and conducted research in several universities in Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. I currently participate in international and interdisciplinary research groups on Motherhood, Maternal Care, and the Medical Humanities.
Most importantly, I am a HypnoBirthing® and HypnoMothering® mom!
I gave birth to my daughter Emily Sofia in Washington DC in August 2017, and I strongly believe in empowering women through calm and gentle births.
